How we recreate parts

Replacement plastic parts.
From reference to recreation.

Copy & Replace recreates broken, missing and discontinued plastic parts using reverse engineering, CAD design and manufacture, including 3D printing. Work directly with Matthew in Peterlee, County Durham, serving the UK.

Reverse engineering for replacement plastic parts

Reverse engineering works back from an existing component to understand the design needed for a replacement. Copy & Replace uses that process to recreate plastic parts that are broken, missing, discontinued or difficult to source.

3D-printed replacement plastic parts

3D printing can provide a manufacturing route for replacement plastic components, from a one-off button to repeated copies of an established design. The useful starting point is the part you need and the job it must do.

Replacement parts for discontinued plastic components

When a plastic component is missing or no longer available, the rest of the equipment may still be worth keeping. Copy & Replace recreates replacement parts from the references and requirements agreed for each job.

One part or a repeat order

Start with photos of the part and where it fits. Matthew will discuss the reference needed, the working conditions and the quantity. Design is usually quoted first, with an estimated manufacturing price. The final manufacturing price is confirmed after design before production is approved and paid for.

Real work, with the originals and results

Explore the completed projects to see damaged references, recreated parts, internal details and fitted results. Each job is considered against its own requirements. A photograph of a similar part is a useful starting point for a conversation, rather than a promise that every application has the same solution.
